Recall 91V116000: Marker Lamp Reflector

A manufacturing tolerance inconsistency in the production of the front parking/side marker lamp caused the resinous reflex reflector not to comply the photometric requirements of FMVSS 108. A failure to meet the photometric standards would result in decreased vehicle visibility by other drivers and could result in a vehicle accident.

System: Parking and side marker lights; FMVSS 108.

Vehicle description: Passenger cars; station wagons, 4-door sedans and 3-door coupes.

Note: The manufacturer's petition which requested that NHTSA determine this FMVSS non-compliance does not create an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety has been granted. Therefore, the manufacturer is not obligated to conduct an owner notification and remedy campaign.
