Front Cross-Member: Service and Repair

Rear Suspension View (FWD):





1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove stabilizer assembly as outlined under STABILIZER LINKS
3. Disconnect tie-rod ends from housing.
4. Remove front exhaust pipe.
5. Remove transverse link to crossmember retaining bolts.
6. Remove engine mount to crossmember retaining nuts.
7. Remove steering torque rod to pinion shaft self-locking nuts.
8. Using a suitable lift, raise engine approximately .39 inch.
9. Support crossmember with a suitable jack, then remove crossmember retaining nuts.
10. Lower crossmember from vehicle.
11. Reverse procedure to install.
