SUBJECT: LEGACY ENGINE OIL LEVEL GAUGE


The purpose of this bulletin is to remind you of recommended Legacy engine oil level checking procedures as described in Service Bulletin 07-11-89.

Also be informed that the Legacy engine oil dipstick was modified in September '89 production starting with Engine # 120180.

This modification makes it easier to read the oil level when checking after the engine is hot.

This modified dipstick is available through the Parts Department using Part Number 11140AA043. The oil level checking procedures in the referenced bulletin are also applicable when using the modified dipstick.
