III. Optional Keyless Entry Kit Installation Tips

A. Door Actuator Mounting

Make sure the door actuator is mounted in a position that will prevent the actuator from coming in contact with the door structure, causing a rattle. A piece of foam tape can be used to separate the actuator body from the door structure.

The set screws located on the actuator linkage block must be tight to prevent them from working loose during normal operation.

The wiring harness from the module to the door actuator must be routed on the outside of the door structure to prevent the wiring from being damaged by the window and window regulator.
