Blower Motor: Service and Repair
Blower Motor1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove passenger side trim panel.
3. Remove glove compartment pocket.
4. Remove pocket frame.
5. On models without A/C, remove heater duct.
6. On models with A/C, separate evaporator from blower assembly.
7. On all models, disconnect blower vacuum hose from instrument panel vacuum hose.
8. Unplug blower motor and resistor electrical connectors.
9. Remove blower attaching bolts and nuts.
10. Remove ventilation duct bracket and blower motor assembly.
11. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. On all except XT, fitting length of vacuum hose must exceed .31 inch.
b. On all models, torque blower attaching nuts and bolts to 4.0-6.9 ft. lbs.
