Drive Belt: Service and Repair

Front Drive Belt

1. Remove drive belt cover, then loosen locknut and slider bolt, Fig. 66.
2. Remove front drive belt.
3. Install drive belt. When proper belt tension is achieved, as specified in Fig. 61, tighten locknut.
4. For new belt installation, readjust belt tension to specifications after running engine for five minutes.
5. Install drive belt cover.

Rear Drive Belt

1. Remove front drive belt as described previously.
2. Loosen locknut and lockbolt, Fig. 67.
3. Remove rear drive belt.
4. Install drive belt. When proper belt tension is achieved, as specified in Fig. 61, tighten lockbolt.
5. Install front drive belt as described previously.
