Fuel Filter: Description and Operation
Fuel Filter:
PURPOSE Filters dirt and sediment, and to some extent, separates water from the fuel.
LOCATION On the L.H. side of the engine compartment.
CONSTRUCTION The
fuel filter uses a pressure withstanding, cartridge design. It has a filter element built into the metal case. Fuel flows from the perimeter of the element to the interior of the filter, then to the fuel injection rails.
