EGR Backpressure Transducer: Testing and Inspection
BPT Valve:
1.
Apply light air pressure to the exhaust gas port (lower) and confirm that air does not leak.
2.
Apply vacuum to the
EGR Valve port. Confirm that vacuum does not leak until light air pressure is applied to the exhaust gas port (lower).
Replace the BPT Valve if it fails the above tests.
