Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

Inhibitor Switch Connector:




Inhibitor Testing:





1. CHECK NEUTRAL SWITCH.
1) Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
2) Disconnect bulkhead harness connector (B13).

3) Measure resistance between inhibitor switch terminal in connector (T1).


Connector & Terminal/Specified value
(T1) No. 1 - Body/0 ohm (N Range)
(T1) No. 1 - Body/1 M ohm min. (Other range)





2. CHECK PARK SWITCH.
1) Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
2) Disconnect bulkhead harness connector (B13).

3) Measure resistance between inhibitor switch terminal in connector (T1).


Connector & Terminal/Specified value
(T1) No. 2 - Body/0 ohm (P Range)
(T1) No. 2 - Body/1 M ohm min. (Other range)
