Ignition Timing: Adjustments
Timing Marks:
Because a distributorless ignition system is utilized,
ignition timing can be checked but cannot be adjusted.
1.
Warm up engine.
2.
Confirm that throttle sensor idle switch is "ON."
3.
Connect a timing light to number 1 spark plug wire and check timing.
Ignition Timing (BTDC): Manual Transmission:
20° ± 2° at 700 rpm
Automatic Transmission:
20° ± 8° at 700 rpm
