Component Tests and General Diagnostics

A/T - M/T IDENTIFICATION CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION (M/T VEHICLES)









Description
The circuit allows the Engine Control Module (ECM) to identify the vehicle as an A/T or M/T vehicle.








a. Turn ignition switch to "ON".
b. Measure voltage between ECM and body.
[CHECK]: Connector & terminal:
(B84) No. 50 - Body/2 Volts or more.
[YES]: Repair open circuit of harness between ECM connector and body.
[NO]: Confirm good connection at ECM connector.
