Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection
InspectionUsing accurate tester, inspect the following items, and replace if defective.
Caution: If the resistance is extremely low, this indicates the presence of a short-circuit.
1. Primary resistance
Between No. 1 and No. 2 0.69 Ohms ±10%
Between No. 2 and No. 3 0.69 Ohms ±10%
2. Secondary coil resistance
Between (1) and (2) 21.0 K Ohms ±15%
Between (3) and (4) 21.0 K Ohms ±15%
3. Insulation between primary terminal and case 10 Megaohms +
