DTC 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 Fuel Injector Diagnostic Chart:
Fuel Injector Circuit:
DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND DIAGRAM
1. CHECK OPERATION OF EACH FUEL INJECTOR.
While cranking the, engine, check that each fuel injector emits "operating" sound.
Use a sound scope or attach a screwdriver to injector for this check.
Fuel Injector Connector:
2. CHECK VOLTAGE OF POWER SUPPLY FOR FUEL INJECTOR.
1) Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
2) Disconnect connector from each fuel injector.
3) Measure voltage between each injector connector terminal and body.
Connector & Terminal/Specified value
#1: (E5) No. 2 - Body/10 V, min.
#3: (E6) No. 2 - Body/10 V, min.
#4: (E9) No. 2 - Body/10 V, min.
#5: (E7) No. 2 - Body/10 V, min.
#6: (E10) No. 2 - Body/10 V, min.
3. CHECK FUEL INJECTOR.
Measure resistance between connector terminals of each fuel injector.
Specified resistance
11 - 12 ohms
4. CHECK SIGNAL ON ECU.
1) Connect connectors onto each fuel injector.
2) Turn ignition switch to "ON".
3) Measure voltage between ECU connector terminals and body.
Connector & Terminal/Specified value
#1: (E62) No. 13 - Body/5 V, min.
#2: (E62) No. 12 - Body/5 V, min.
#3: (E62) No. 11 - Body/5 V, min.
#4: (E62) No. 26 - Body/5 V, min.
#5: (E59) No. I - Body/5 V, min.
#6: (E59) No. 12 - Body/5 V, min.
5. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT OF ECU.
1) Disconnect ECU connector.
2) Measure resistance between ECU connector terminal and body.
Connector & Terminal/Specified value
(B59) No. 24 - Body/0 ohms
(B59) No. 25 - Body/0 ohms
