Installation

1. Install duty solenoid C and transfer valve body.
a. Install duty solenoid C and transfer valve body.

Tightening torque:
8 +/- 1 Nm (69 +/- 8 inch lbs.).

b. Install pipe and clamp.

Tightening torque:
8 +/- 1 Nm (69 +/- 8 inch lbs.).

c. Install clutch drum.





2. Install extension.
a. Connect connector.
b. Tighten 11 bolts.

Tightening torque:
25 +/- 2 Nm (18.1 +/- 1.4 ft. lbs.).





c. Install gear select cable.

Tightening torque:
14 +/- 4 Nm (10.1 +/- 2.9 ft. lbs.).





3. Install vehicle speed sensor 1.

Tightening torque:
7 +/- 1 Nm (61 +/- 8 inch lbs.).





4. Install rear crossmember.
a. Tighten bolts.

Tightening torque:
Crossmember to body
69 +/- 15 Nm (51 +/- 11 ft. lbs.).
Crossmember to cushion
18 +/- 5 Nm (13.0 +/- 3.6 ft. lbs.).

b. Lower and remove transmission jack.





5. Install propeller shaft.

Tightening torque:
At rear differential
23 +/- 5 Nm (16.6 +/- 3.6 ft. lbs.).
At center bearing
39 +/- 5 Nm (28.9 +/- 3.6 ft. lbs.).

NOTE: Align matching marks on propeller shaft and rear differential coupling.





6. Install front exhaust pipe.

Tightening torque:
At engine
29 +/- 5 Nm (21.7 +/- 3.6 ft. lbs.).
At hanger
29 +/- 5 Nm (21.7 +/- 3.6 ft. lbs.).
At front and rear connections
18 +/- 5 Nm (13.0 +/- 3.6 ft. lbs.).





7. Lower and remove jack.
8. Connect the following parts:
a. Oxygen sensor connector
b. Multi-connector





9. Install pitching stopper.

Tightening torque:
Body side
57 +/- 10 Nm (42 +/- 7 ft. lbs.).
Engine side
49 +/- 5 Nm (36.2 +/- 3.6 ft. lbs.).





10. Replenish ATF and check oil level. Check for leaks.
