Wiper Motor Linkage: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION




1. Detach cowl panel.

NOTE: Apply silicone oil or soap water to both sides of cowl net to facilitate removal.

2. Disconnect electric connector, and remove motor attaching bolts.

Tightening torque:
5.9 ± 1.5 Nm (0.6 ± 0.15 kg.m, 4.3 ± 1.1 ft.lb)




3. Remove cowl cover.
4. Remove nut securing motor link on the back side of motor.

Tightening torque:
15 ± 3 Nm (1.5 ± 0.3 kg.m, 11 ± 2.2 ft.lb)




5. Remove bolts which secure sleeve unit.

Tightening torque:
5.9 ± 1.5 Nm (0.6 ± 0.15 kg.m, 4.3 ± 1.1 ft.lb)




6. Remove wiper link from service hole in front panel.
7. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
