Over the past year, we've all come to find out just how sensitive the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is to pressure fluctuations. There is a new tool out there that will properly torque the valve stem when you put it back in so that it's not under or over torqued which could possibly result in a leak. The one tool that we know of is manufactured by Vacula Automotive, and will torque the valve stem to 4 in. lbs. The part number is 72-088-0020. Subaru does not endorse or require that you get this tool. We just wanted to make you aware of it.
