ECM Reprogramming Files to Optimize Catalytic Converter Life

INTRODUCTION

This is to announce that ECM reprogramming files are now available to assist in controlling exhaust temperature under severe driving conditions to optimize catalytic converter life. If a vehicle is presented for a concern with catalyst function where no other condition exists that would impact catalyst function or life, then install this ECM reprogramming at the time of catalyst replacement. Note: ECM reprogramming files were sent to all SDS users in the January 2012 SSMIII Update version 1.31.45.7
