Fuel Pump Control
FUEL PUMP CONTROLThe ECM controls the operation of the
fuel pump through the
fuel pump control unit, based on signals from the
crankshaft position sensor. To improve safety, a "fuel pump stop signal" is sent from the ECM to the fuel pump control unit to stop the fuel pump if the engine stalls while the
ignition switch is ON.
