Oil Pressure Check

NOTE: Prior to checking oil pressure, check the following:
- Oil level in oil pan.
If oil level is low, add oil up to the Full level hole on the oil level gauge (dipstick).
- Oil quality.
If oil is discolored or deteriorated change it.
- Oil leaks.
If leak is found, repair it.

OIL PRESSURE TEST
1. Remove oil pressure sending unit from cylinder block.
2. Install oil pressure gauge in threaded hole.
3. Start engine and warm up engine. Raise idle to specified RPM and measure oil pressure.

390 - 470 kPa (55.5 - 66.8 PSI) at 4000 RPM

4. After checking oil pressure, stop engine and remove oil pressure gauge.
5. Before reinstalling oil pressure sending unit, be sure to wrap it's threads with sealing tape and tighten sending unit to proper torque.

Torque 14Nm (1.4 kg-m, 10.0 lb-ft)

NOTE: If sealing tape is bulged out from the threads cut off excess.

6. Start engine and check oil pressure sending unit for leaks.
