Spark Plug: Service and Repair

Spark plugs should be replaced every 30,000 miles. Spark plugs should only be removed and installed when engine is cool, as threads may seize if engine is at normal operating temperature. Torque plugs to 14.5-21.5 ft. lbs., or if no torque wrench is available, tighten plugs 1/2 to 3/4 turn after gasket contacts seat. Refer to ``Tune Up Specifications'' for specified spark plug gap.
