Compression Check: Testing and Inspection


Perform compression check with engine at normal operating temperature, all spark plugs removed, high tension wire from ignition coil disconnected, throttle wide open and clutch disengaged. Compression pressure should be 199 psi, with a minimum of 170 psi, at 400 RPM. Maximum variation between cylinders should not exceed 14.2 psi.
