Mixture Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

1. Ensure ignition switch is in the Off position.
2. Disconnect electrical connectors from ECM, TWSV and VSV.
3. Disconnect mixture control solenoid valve electrical connector.

4. Using suitable couplers, connect mixture control solenoid valve wire terminals, yellow/black terminal of coupler (1), black/white terminal of coupler (2), white terminal of coupler (1) and blue/red terminal of coupler (2), Fig. 11.

5. Remove cap of duty check coupler located on fire wall, and short terminals as shown in Fig. 12.
6. Turn ignition switch On and Off (without starting engine), and listen for MCSV operation. If no sound is heard, replace MCSV.
