CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
TCM calculates the actual transmission gear ratio by using signals from VSS and A/T input speed sensor (forward clutch cylinder revolution sensor) and monitors it. TCM detects a trouble when the actual transmission gear ratio is not equal to the ratio of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th gear as commanded by TCM. (gear detected from the condition of the TCM command to solenoids.)





DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND TROUBLE AREA

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE (DTC P0751/DTC NO.17 OR DTC P0756/DTC NO.28)

WARNING:
- When performing a road test, select a place where there is no traffic or possibility of a traffic accident and be very careful during testing to avoid occurrence of an accident.
- Road test should be carried out with 2 persons, a driver and a tester, on al level road.


1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Clear DTC stored in TCM and ECM.
3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
4. Shift select lever to "D" range and hold it for 20 sec. or longer.
5. Start vehicle and check that gear position changes from 1st to 2nd, 3rd and 4th in that order as vehicle speed increases referring to "Gear Shift Diagram".
6. Stop vehicle and turn ignition switch OFF.
7. Repeat above steps 3 to 5).
8. Stop vehicle and check DTC and pending DTC.
