With Generic Scan Tool

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC CHECK)
A/T DTC can be checked using any one of the following 3 methods.





A. Reading DTC from ECM (through OBD-II serial data line) using SUZUKI scan tool with mass storage cartridge or OBD-II generic scan tool.

B. Reading DTC from TCM by using SUZUKI scan tool with mass storage cartridge.
1. Set mass storage cartridge to scan tool and connect scan tool to DLC with ignition switch OFF.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Read DTC according to instructions displayed on scan tool and print it or write it down. Refer to scan tool operator's manual for further details.
4. After completing the check, turn ignition switch off and disconnect scan tool from DLC.
C. Identifying blinking pattern of "O/D OFF" lamp.
