Ignition Switch Keyhole Lamp Removal and Installation

Ignition Switch Keyhole Lamp Removal

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Driver's Side Knee Bolster Removal.




3. Remove the instrument cluster trim panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Removal.
4. Remove the steering column upper, lower cover.
5. Remove the nuts and the bolts securing the steering column.
6. Disconnect the steering column electrical connector.




7. Lower the steering column.




8. Remove the ignition switch keyhole lamp and the bulb.

Ignition Switch Keyhole Lamp Installation




1. Install the ignitions switch keyhole lamp and the bulb.

Tighten:
Tighten the ignition switch keyhole lamp screw to 1.5 N.m (13 lb.in).

2. Raise the steering column.
3. Connect the steering column electrical connector.
4. Install the nuts and the bolts securing the steering column.

Tighten:
Tighten the steering column nuts to 22 N.m (16 lb.ft).
Tighten the steering column bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb.ft).




5. Install the steering column upper, lower cover.
6. Install the instrument cluster trim panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Installation.
7. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Driver's Side Knee Bolster Installation.




8. Connect the negative battery cable.
