Receiver / Dryer Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
2. Recover refrigerant by using recovery and recycling equipment.
Be sure to follow the instruction manual for the equipment.
The amount of compressor oil removed must be measured and the same amount added to the system.




3. Remove front bumper assembly. Refer to Front Bumper Components.




4. Disconnect coupler from A/C refrigerant (triple) pressure switch (1).
5. Remove receiver / dryer.

Installation
Reverse removal sequence to install receiver / dryer, noting the following point.
- When replacing receiver / dryer, add 10 cc of refrigerating oil.
- Evacuate and charge system according to Operation Procedure for Charging A/C with Refrigerant.
