MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT (MIL) "ON" DTC P2610 (CONTROL MODULE IGNITION OFF TIMER PERFORMANCE) STORED

MODEL(S): XL7 (JC636)

YEAR: 2008

CONDITION:

ECM incorrectly sets DTC P2610 (Control Module Ignition OFF Timer Performance) and illuminates the MIL.

CAUSE: N/A

CORRECTION:

DO NOT REPLACE THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM). Please follow the service manual procedure to reprogram the ECM with the latest software. Be sure to click "Clear DTC's" after programming finishes. See below.

NOTE:
The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) may not show tire pressures after programming. This is normal, the vehicle will have to be driven for the sensor to wake up and update the information.
