Power Steering Pressure Switch: Testing and Inspection

P/S Pressure Switch Inspection
1) Prepare SUZUKI scan tool.
2) With ignition switch turned OFF, connect it to DLC (1) located on underside of instrument panel at drivers seat side.

Special Tool
(A): SUZUKI scan tool (SUZUKI-SDT)





3) Start engine and select "PSP Switch" in "Data list" mode on scan tool.
4) Check that P/S pressure switch is following condition when steering wheel is turned left or right. If check result is not satisfactory, repair P/S pressure switch circuit or replace P/S pressure switch.

P/S pressure sensor specification
Steering wheel at free: OFF
Steering wheel turned left or right: ON
