This check is very important for troubleshooting when ECM has detected no DTC and no abnormality has been found in Visual Inspection Visual Inspection.

Follow the flow carefully.



1. Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.
2. Check battery voltage
Is it 11 V or more?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
Charge or replace battery.
3. Can engine be cranked?
YES
Go to Step 4.
NO
Go to Testing and Inspection Cranking System Symptom Diagnosis.
4. Does engine start?
YES
Go to Step 5.
NO
Go to Step 7.
5. Check idle speed
Check engine idle speed. Idle Speed and IAC Throttle Valve Opening Inspection
Is check result as specified?
YES
Go to Step 6.
NO
Go to Engine Symptom Diagnosis Engine Symptom Diagnosis.
6. Check ignition system
Check ignition system. Ignition System Check
Is check result as specified?
YES
Go to Engine Symptom Diagnosis Engine Symptom Diagnosis.
NO
Repair or replace defective parts.
7. Check immobilizer system for operation
Check immobilizer control system. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
Is it in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 8.
NO
Immobilizer control system malfunction.
8. Check fuel system
Check fuel system. Fuel System Inspection
Is it in good condition?
YES
Go to Engine Symptom Diagnosis Engine Symptom Diagnosis.
NO
Repair or replace defective parts.
