Check
    Brakes and Traction Control
      Check the brake linings (shoes) and drums for scoring, burning, leaking fluid, broken parts and excessive wear. Check the pads for excessive wear and discs for runout. Check calipers for leaking fluid. Check the hoses and lines for leaks, damage, chafing and corrosion. Repair any faults immediately.
Inspect
    Suspension
      Check the suspension and steering linkage ball joints for looseness and damage. Check all dust covers for deterioration.
    Steering
      Check for excessive freeplay in the steering wheel. Check the linkages for bending and damage. Check any dust boots for cracking, deterioration and damage. Inspect the gearbox/steering rack for signs of leakage.
    Fuel Tank
      Inspect fuel tank band for cracks and corrosion. Check for leaks and repair as needed.
    Fuel Supply Line
      Inspect for damage, corrosion and leaks. Retighten loose connections.
    Fuel Filler Cap
      Check gasket for cracking or wear. Inspect tank neck for damage and sealing.
    Fluid - Transfer Case
      Check fluid level. Inspect for leaks.
    Fluid - M/T
    Fluid - Differential
      Check fluid level. Inspect for leaks.
    Fluid - A/T
      Check fluid level and condition. Inspect for leaks.
    Exhaust System
      Inspect the exhaust pipes, muffler and hangers for cracks, deterioration or damage. Listen for evidence of an exhaust leak. Retighten connections as needed.
    Drive/Propeller Shaft
      Lubricate drive shaft and drive shaft bushings and re-torque bolts.
    Drive Belt
      Check belt condition and tension. Inspect for fluid contamination.
    Constant Velocity Joint Boot
      Check the driveshaft boots and clamps for cracks, deterioration or damage. Repack the grease if necessary. Retorque the flange bolts.
Replace
    Spark Plug
      Except Platinum Spark Plugs - Replace with same type as originally equipped. Set gap to specified value. This maintenance is required under the terms of the Emission Control Warranty.
    Oil Filter, Engine
      Replace every 6 months or 7500 miles.
    Engine Oil
      Replace every 6 months or 7500 miles.
    Coolant
      Drain, flush and replace coolant. Inspect for leaks and check hose condition.
    Air Filter Element
      Extremely dusty conditions may require more frequent service of this component.
Clean/Repack
    Wheel Bearing
Rotate
    Tires
      Check inflation pressures. Inspect tires for debris, damage or uneven wear.
