Front Door: Service and Repair

DISASSEMBLY




1. w/o Power Window:
REMOVE REGULATOR HANDLE
Pull off the snap ring with a shop rag and remove the regulator handle and plate.

2. REMOVE INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL
Remove the screw and pull the inside handle bezel.




3. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
(a) Power window switch
(b) Pull handle
(c) Door trim
(d) Inside handle
(e) w/ Tweeter Speaker:
Speaker and tweeter speaker
(f) Door armrest base




4. REMOVE SERVICE HOLE COVER

HINT:
At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.
Bring out the links through the service hole cover.

5. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
(a) Rear view mirror
(b) Door belt moulding
(c) Door frame moulding
(d) Door glass run
(e) Inner weatherstrip
(f) Door glass

6. REMOVE WINDOW REGULATOR
(a) Remove the 5 bolts and regulator.

Torque: 5.9 Nm (60 kgf cm, 52 in. lbf)

(b) Disconnect the connector.




HINT:
At the time of reassembly, please refer to the follwing item.
Apply MP grease to the window regulator rollers.




7. REMOVE DOOR LOCK
(a) Disconnect the 2 links to the door lock.
(b) Disconnect the 2 links to the outside handle and the door lock cylinder.
(c) w/ Power Door Lock:
Disconnect the connector.
(d) Remove the 3 screws.

Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf cm, 48 in. lbf)

HINT:
At the time of reassembly, please refer to the follwing items.
^ Apply adhesive to the 3 screws.
Part No.08833-00070, THREE BOND 1324 or equivalent.
^ Apply MP grease to the sliding and rotating parts of the door lock.

8. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
(a) Front lower frame
(b) Outside handle
(c) Rear lower frame

REASSEMBLY
Reassembly is in the reverse order of disassembly.
