Trunk / Liftgate: Adjustments

ADJUSTMENT






HINT:
Since the centering bolt is used as a hood hinge and hood lock set bolt, the hood and hood lock can not be adjusted with it on.
Substitute a bolt with washer for the centering bolt.

1. INSPECT BACK DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Check that the clearance is within the standard value.




2. INSPECT BACK DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Adjust the door by loosening the door side hinge bolts.
b. Adjust the door by loosening the body side hinge nuts.

Torque:
Door side: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 45 in.lbf)
Roof side: 11.5 N.m (117 kgf.cm, 8.5 ft.lbf)




c. Check that the door fit and door linkage are adjusted correctly..
d. Adjust the striker by loosening the striker mounting screws.

Torque: 23.0 N.m (235 kgf.cm, 17 ft.lbf)

e. Using a plastic hammer, tap the striker for adjustment.
