TIRE / WHEEL: TIRE AND WHEEL SYSTEM: INSPECTION

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT TIRE
(a) Check the tires for wear and proper inflation pressure.

Standard Cold Tire Inflation Pressure:









(b) Using a dial indicator, check the tire runout.
Tire runout:
3.0 mm (0.118 in.) or less





2. ROTATE TIRE

HINT: Rotate the tires as shown in the illustration.

3. INSPECT WHEEL BALANCE





(a) Check and adjust the off-the-car balance.
(b) If necessary, check and adjust the on-the-car balance.
Standard imbalance after adjustment:
8 g (0.0180 lb) or less

NOTICE:
- Using a cleaning detergent, remove dirt, oil and water from the areas shown in the illustration (approximately 25 mm (0.993 in.)).





- Do not touch the adhesive part of the balance weight.
- Adhere the balance weight to the areas shown in the illustration.
- Push the balance weight securely with your fingers to attach it.
- Do not reuse the balance weight.
