EXTERIOR: REAR BUMPER (for Steel Type Bumper): INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 3 WIRE FRAME (w/ Trailer Towing System)





(a) for 4 Pin Type:
Install the No. 3 wire frame.
(1) Install the wire frame with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 8.3 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 73 in-lbf)
(2) Attach the 2 clamps.
(3) Connect the connector.





(b) for 4 Pin and 7 Pin Type:
Install the No. 3 wire frame.
(1) Install the wire frame with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 8.3 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 73 in-lbf)
(2) Attach the 2 clamps.
(3) Connect the connector.
2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR
(a) Install the bumper bar with the 6 bolts.
Torque: 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)
(b) Install the 2 bumper bar reinforcements with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)





(c) w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System:
Connect the connectors and clamps, as shown in the illustration.









3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PLATE LH
(a) Attach the 4 clips to install the bumper pad.
4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PLATE RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Attach the 14 clips to install the bumper pad.
(b) Install the clip.









6. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Attach the claw to install the license plate light.
(b) Install the screw.
7. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
