APPLICABILITY:

INTRODUCTION:

Some 2001 - 2010 vehicles may exhibit a condition where the front power seat is inoperative and the 30 amp seat fuse is open. This may be caused by the front seat wire harness protector not being seated correctly. The wire harness proteetor has been updated to correct this condition. Use the following procedure to diagnose and repair the front seat wire harness.

NOTE:

This TSB only applies to vehicles exhibiting a front power seat inoperative condition and open seat fuse.

This TSB applies to:

^ All 2007-2009 MY Tundra vehicles equipped with separate type front power seats.





^ 2010 MY Tundra vehicles equipped with separate type front power seats produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINS* shown.





PARTS INFORMATION:





REQUIRED TOOLS & EQUIPMENT

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Confirm front power seat inoperative condition and seat fuse is OPEN

If seat fuse is NOT open or seat is NOT Inoperative - STOP This TSB does NOT apply Perform the Disable Brake Control procedure

2. Remove the front power seat switch

Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model year Tundra Repair Manual:

3. Inspect wire harness protector color.





A. If wire harness protector color is WHITE proceed to step 4.

B. If wire harness protector color is GRAY, STOP! This TSB does NOT apply Refer to TIS "Body Electrical Diagnosis Quick Reference Guide" for more information on diagnosis of open fuse (short circuit to ground)

4. Inspect wire harness and Wine harness protector.

A. If any of the following conditions are observed proceed to step 5.

^ Wires are damaged

^ Protector is not locked in position

B. If NONE of the above conditions are observed, refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model year Repair Manual.

5. Replace the Power Seat Wire Harness Assembly

NOTE

Make sure wire harness protector is fully locked into position when installing new wire harness.
