2UZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT OIL CONTROL VALVE: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)





(a) Install a new O-ring to the camshaft timing oil control valve.
(b) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring.
(c) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the bolt.
Torque: 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)
(d) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2)





(a) Install a new O-ring to the camshaft timing oil control valve.
(b) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring.
(c) Install the oil control valve with the bolt.
Torque: 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)
(d) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY Installation
4. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
