Applicability

Introduction

As a result of the removal of the Short Pin, the "automatic open and close" and "jam protection" functions of the power sliding doors will be inoperative due to loss of the power sliding doors position. Initialize the power sliding doors after installing the Short Pin in its original location during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS).

NOTE
Any time the battery terminal has been disconnected, the power sliding doors MUST be re-initialized.

Overview

Initialization Procedure

1. Fully close the power sliding doors if open.

2. Check that the power sliding doors fully open and close.

A. Check that the power sliding doors are unlocked. If NOT, press the transmitter switch or the door control switch.

B. Cycle the ignition switch to the "IG-OFF" position.

C. Check that the power slide door main switch is in the "ON" position.

D. Check that the power sliding doors fully open and fully close by pushing the power slide door satellite switch, transmitter switch, or power slide control switch.

NOTE

Jam protection function becomes effective through the above initialization procedure.
