Introduction
Some Sienna vehicles may exhibit a growling ticking clunking or rattling noise near or around the left and/or right-hand sliding door when driving on rough road surfaces.
Noise generated by contact between the striker plate and lock assembly on 2004 - 2006 model year Sienna vehicles has been reduced by adding a resin coating to the sliding door striker plate and sliding door lock assembly. The updated part applies to both manual and power sliding doors.
Noise generated by contact between the male and female slide door stoppers on 2004 - 2010 model year Sienna vehicles has been reduced by redesigning the male stopper (foam type material was added to the male stopper). The updated part applies to both manual and power sliding doors.
