Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 11 Pressure Switch Terminal Identification.:

1. Connect manifold and gauge set to compressor. Gauge reading should be 30 psi, minimum with ambient temperature above 32 deg. F.
2. Remove glove box and disconnect pressure switch lead wires.
3. Check continuity between terminals of amplifier as indicated in Fig. 11. Ohmmeter should 0 ohms of resistance. Replace pressure switch is defective.
