Item 1: (A40D only) The valve body parts listed below have been modified to:

^ permit 3-4 upshift at wide open throttle
^ eliminate delayed engagement of N-R shift when hot
^ permit factory adjustment of line pressure (see details)

Adjustable Line Pressure Sleeve:

An adjustable line pressure sleeve has been added which permit's fine tuning of line pressure by the factory during assembly. Note the following precautions when disassembling and assembling the adjustable sleeve.

1. Check pre-set position of sleeve and retainer when disassembling (A, B, or C). Reassemble in the same position.

2. When replacing the sleeve with new parts, assemble in position B.

a) Turn sleeve with a screwdriver for adjustment as indicated below.

Item 2: (All A40 series) The 1-2 shift valve has been made in 2 pieces to eliminate sticking when cold.
