Transmission Model Code Locations
Vehicles prior to 1989:
- On passenger cars, trucks and Landcruisers, the ID Plate is located on or adjacent to the firewall within the engine compartment.
- On vans, the Plate is located on the body, under a carpet flap directly below the front of the front passenger seat.
Vehicles for 1989 to current:
- On passenger cars, the ID Label is located on the inside of the driver's door. On trucks, vans, and Landcruisers, the Label is located on the lower part of the driver's door pillar.

NOTE: The transmission (TM) code will be listed with the color, trim, and axle codes. These codes are indicated by the following abbreviations: C/TR/A/TM.
