ASSEMBLY OF PISTON AND CONNECTING ROD ASSEMBLIES
1. ASSEMBLE PISTON AND CONNECTING ROD




(a) Align the cavity on the piston with the protrusion on the connecting rod.





(b) Using SST, press in the piston pin.
SST 09221-25018 (09221-00050 09221-00090, 09221-00100)

NOTE: Coat the piston pin and hole with engine oil.

2. INSTALL PISTON RINGS
(a) Install the oil ring expander and two side rails by hand.





(b) Using a ring expander, install the two compression rings with the code marks facing upward.





(c) Position the piston rings so that the ring ends are as shown.

CAUTION: Do not align the end gaps.
