Fig. 1 Manual shift linkage adjustment:

MANUAL SHIFT LINKAGE

1. Loosen swivel nut on lever, then push manual lever fully toward right side of vehicle, Fig. 1.
2. Return lever two notches to Neutral position, then place selector lever in Neutral position.
3. Manually hold lever tightly toward Reverse range, then tighten swivel nut.

THROTTLE CABLE

1. Hold accelerator pedal in fully depressed position, then loosen cable adjusting nuts, Fig. 2.
2. Adjust cable to obtain 0-.04 inch between end of boot and stopper on cable, then tighten adjusting nut.
3. Fully depress accelerator pedal and recheck adjustment, then road test vehicle.

NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH

1. Loosen neutral safety switch attaching bolts.
2. Place selector lever in Neutral position.
3. Disconnect electrical connector.
4. Align groove in with neutral basic line, Fig. 3.
5. Torque switch retaining bolts to 48 inch lbs. to secure adjustment.
6. Reconnect electrical connector to switch, then ensure engine starts with selector lever in Neutral and Park only.
