Control Assembly: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect control cables from clamps.
3. On sedan and wagon, proceed as follows:
a. Remove instrument cluster finish panel.
b. Remove knobs and heater control lens, being careful not to bend clips on end of lens.
c. Remove A/C switch.
d. Remove cluster finish lower center panel.
4. On hardtop, coupe and liftback, proceed as follows:
a. Remove knobs and heater control panel.
b. Remove ashtray and retainer.
c. Remove A/C switch.
5. On all models, disconnect blower switch electrical connector.
6. Pull out control assembly.
7. Remove blower switch from control assembly.
8. Remove control cables.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
