Air Conditioning Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and remove ashtray and LH air duct.
2. Disconnect electrical connector to A/C switch and connect ohmmeter to switch terminals.
3. With control in "OFF" position, meter should indicate infinite resistance.
4. Slide control lever from "A/C" position to "COOL" position while observing meter.
5. Resistance should decrease gradually and progressively from 3,000 ohms to zero ohms as control is operated.
6. If A/C switch fails to perform as outlined, switch is defective.
