2. Install rotor pulley assembly onto compressor using a suitable tool. Press clutch pulley over the shaft onto hub and position tool frame to engage pins with diagonal mounting lugs (unused), Fig. 2. Insert drive sleeve between frame and rotor pulley with conical end against inner race of bearing. Rotate screw in center of frame clockwise to engage drive sleeve. Continue turning screw until rotor pulley is bottomed against shoulder of compressor.
3. Install both bearing snap rings.
4. Install shims and key previously removed.
5. Install front clutch plate assembly onto shaft with lands facing clutch pulley. Position frame of tool No. C-4495-14 or equivalent to engage compressor mounting lugs as in step 2 and place tool No. C-4495-1 drive sleeve or equivalent between frame and front plate hub. Rotate screw to contact drive sleeve. Continue until armature hub bottoms.
6. Check air between front plate and rotor pulley. Air gap should be .016-.032 inch. If not, change shims with shims of a different thickness as required.
7. Install compressor shaft nut and torque to 25-30 ft.lbs. Recheck air gap.
