System Operation

Condenser Fan Motor Inspection:

1. With ignition "ON" but engine not running, neither condenser or radiator fan motor should run. If they operate check for open circuit at A/C high pressure switch or water temperature switch.
2. Start engine and turn A/C switch "ON." Both fans should operate at low speed (water temperature below 194°F, 90°C).
3. Temporarily disconnect water temperature or A/C high pressure switch connector. Both fans should operate at high speed.
4. Check operation of both fans as described on image chart.
