Assemble
1. Install two guide pins in the rear cylinder, if equipped, then lubricate and install new O-ring in the rear cylinder.
2. Install rear suction read valve over pins on rear cylinder, then the rear valve plate together with the discharge valve. The rear valve plate is marked with an ``R.''
3. Lubricate gasket with compressor oil, then install gasket on valve plate.
4. Install rear housing on rear cylinder. Ensure housing protrusion is positioned at the top side.
5. Install two front cylinder guide pins, if equipped, then lubricate and install new O-ring in the front cylinder.
6. Install front suction reed valve over guide pins on front cylinder, then the front valve plate together with the discharge valve. The front valve plate is marked with an ``F.''
7. Lubricate gasket with compressor oil, then install gasket on valve plate.
8. Install front housing on front cylinder, then the front housing through bolts and washers. Torque through bolts in three passes to 19 ft. lbs. Ensure housing protrusion is positioned at the top side.
9. Apply oil to shaft seal and bore, then install shaft seal using a suitable tool.
10. Install shaft plate, then the key in shaft groove using a suitable tool.
11. Install felt oil seal in bore, then fill compressor with specified oil.
12. Apply oil to service valve O-rings, then install O-rings and service valve. Torque service valve attaching bolts to 19 ft. lbs.
13. Check shaft rotating torque. Rotating torque should be 26 inch lbs.
