1. Inspect intermittent switch operation as follows:
a. Place wiper switch in INT position.
b. On models equipped with variable type, place INT switch to Fast position.
c. On all models, connect battery positive lead to terminal (B)18 and negative lead to terminal (B)16.
d. Connect voltmeter positive lead to terminal (B)7 and negative lead to terminal (B)16, needle sweep indicates battery voltage.
e. Using suitable wire, connect terminals (B)4 and (B)18, then connect terminal (B)16.
f. Battery voltage should rise from zero volts to battery voltage, as shown in Fig. 15.
g. If operation is not as indicated, replace wiper and washer switch.
2. Inspect washer switch operation as follows:
a. Connect positive battery lead to terminal (B)18 and negative to terminal (B)16.
b. Connect voltmeter positive lead to terminal (B)7 and negative to terminal (B)16.
c. Depress washer switch, ensuring voltage is as indicated in Fig. 16.
d. If operation is not as indicated, replace wiper and washer switch.
