Governor Shaft Thrust Clearance:

8. Using a feeler gauge measure governor shaft thrust clearance.

Thrust Clearance: 0.0059 - 0.0197 in (0.15 - 0.50 mm)

Drive Gear Grinding:

9. Using a grinder, grind the drive gear and straight pin.

Governor Shaft Assembly:

Drive Gear Alignment:

5. Align the drill mark on the drive gear with the groove of the housing.

6. Install a new straight pin.

Governor Shaft Thrust Clearance:

7. Using a feeler gauge, measure governor shaft thrust clearance.

NOTE: If governor shaft clearance is not within specifications, replace thrust washer. Available sizes are 0.012 - 0.024 in (0.3 - 0.6 mm)

Securing Straight Pin:

8. Using a vise, secure the ends of the straight pin.
